April 23rd

TOGETHER WITH OUR USUAL GRAMMAR PRACTICE (WHICH WILL BE REDUCED TO JUST TWO PAGES TONIGHT) STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE A SUMMARY AS A WRITING ASSESSMENT.

THE PASSAGE TO BE SUMMARIZED IS ATTACHED : PAGE 1 OF THE DOCUMENT “ASSESSMENT+WS april23rd”. YOU WILL ALSO FIND A BRIEF INSTRUCTIONAL PAGE FOR TIPS ON HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESSFUL SUMMARY.

The summary can be hand written on a separate piece of paper and then sent to me as a scanned/pdf doc. A photo will work too. If you have access to WORD please type it on a WORD doc and send it to my email directly.

Students are required to complete the assessment during class time , no exceptions. We need to collect several writing assessments as this skill has been unfortunately neglected lately. Thank you for your cooperation.
